Position: Senior Consultant Solicitor (Employment Law)
Geraint is an employment lawyer with over 16 years experience in the public and private sectors.
In November 2022 Geraint joined MLS as a consultant employment solicitor alongside his main practice as an in-house employment lawyer in local government.
Geraint has an extensive corporate support practice spanning a broad spectrum of employment law matters – both contentious and non-contentious – including:
- contracts of employment
- corporate policies and procedures
- employee benefits
- data protection and GDPR
- equalities (including disability, reasonable adjustments and discrimination)
- handling undeperformance and ill-health
- restructuring
- TUPE and staff transfers
- grievances and disciplinaries
- terminations and exit strategies including settlement agreements
- Employment Tribunal claims
Geraint has extensive experience of preparing and representing parties at Employment Tribunal hearings, as well as providing legal support at hearings in the High Court, Employment Appeal Tribunal and Court of Appeal.
Geraint is available to corporate employer clients in the private sector and is able to provide advice packages dealing with employment law queries or take on individual cases.
Geraint is a fluent Welsh speaker and is happy to take instructions, advise and conduct hearings in either English or Welsh languages.
